Kanshiram Urdu Arabi Farsi University signs MoU with IGNOU

Lucknow: For providing higher education to the students, Kanshiram Urdu Arabi, Farsi University in Lucknow has signed up a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on Saturday. The two institutions will share their researches, Education, especially in vocational courses.

On Saturday the two universities formally exchanged documents at a programme organized at the National PG College in Lucknow. Vice Chancellor of Kanshiram Urdu Arabi, Farsi University, Anees Ansari stated that the MoU was signed on April 1 and it has been formally declared for being effective from coming session on Saturday.

Ansari stated that as per the MoU they would be taking up all the important courses of IGNOU for the students of the university which would be beneficial for them. “There are several courses in Urdu which are available with IGNOU. We cannot prepare large number of course as it would take lots of time as well as money. But now with the help of IGNOU we will be promoting Urdu in every district of the state,” said Ansari.

He said that there are nearly 350 courses in English with the Open University which will also be introduced in the Urdu Arabi, Farsi University. “We will also try to benefit our students from the vocational courses available with IGNOU as it’s our aim to provide students vocational education so that when they finish their course they should posses some skills too,” Ansari added.

Ansari said that this MoU is for five years only and if they will get good response then they will try to extend it for five more year as this newly constituted university needs more educational support.
