Kampala : Twenty-nine people were killed and 75 others injured when two passenger buses collided head-on in southern Sudan Friday, Xinhua reported.
The buses were registered in Uganda, a Ugandan police official said. Deputy police spokesman Vincent Sekatte told Xinhua on telephone that the accident occurred 40 km from the Nimule border post.
He said 29 people, including 23 Ugandans and six Sudanese, were killed. The critically injured were admitted to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear how many people were in the buses at the time of the accident.
