Berlin : A small group of anti-Qaddafi protesters stormed the Libyan embassy in Berlin on Monday for the second time in less than a week, according to media reports.
The protesters caused damage inside the diplomatic mission and threw framed portraits of Libyan dictator Moammar Qaddafi out of the building.
They also tried to replace the official Libyan flag with the old royal flag dating back to before the Qaddafi era.
Police was called inside the building by Libyan diplomats and detained the assailants who were displaying victory signs as they were whisked out of the embassy compound.
The attackers were charged with unlawful entry and wilful damage to property.
Germany has been the scene of several anti-Qaddafi demonstrations over the
past days, among them in Berlin and Bonn.
