New Delhi : The morning showers here Thursday flooded some areas and led to traffic jams, an official said.
Traffic snarls were reported from a wide area ranging from Jangpura, Chirag Delhi and Nehru Place in south Delhi to the stretch between Shastri Park and Anand Parbhat in north Delhi, Delhi Traffic Police said.
The capital received 1.6 mm of rainfall till 8.30 a.m. More hailstorm and thundershowers are expected in the capital.
Many people were caught by surprise by the rains.
The minimum temperature recorded was 14 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal for this time of the season.
