Abu Dhabi : South Korean President Myung-bak Lee Saturday arrived in the UAE on a three-day state visit.
He is scheduled to hold talks with UAE’s President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on different ways to promote and strengthen bilateral relations between South Kore and UAE.
The visiting South Korean leader will also meet Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Abdu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and senior UAE officials.
The high-level South Korean delegation accompanying the president includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kim Sung-hwan, Minister of Knowledge Economy Choi Joong Kyung, Minister of Health, Welfare, and Family Affairs Chin Soo-hee and other senior officials.
This is the South Korean president’s second official visit to the UAE.
His first visit to UAE in December 2009 saw signing of a number of cooperation agreements between the two countries.
