New Delhi : A 40-year-old woman was shot at by a youth here when she rebuked him and three of his friends for passing lewd comments against her daughter, police said Thursday. The woman’s condition is stable.
The incident took place Wednesday around 10.30 p.m. near the Shantivan area of central Delhi when the victim, Raj Dulari, along with her daughter and other family members, was on her way to a marriage function.
“Two of the four people, Rajesh and Ashish Saini, were arrested Thursday. The rest are absconding,” a police officer said.
According to police, two shots were fired at Dulari, one of which hit her knee. She was rushed to a hospital, and is stable.
