Islamabad : A German diplomat, who was trying to paraglide from the Margalla Hills near this Pakistan capital, was taken to the police as it was a no-fly zone, a media report said.
The diplomat, who introduced himself as Shasha Wolf, a security advisor in the German embassy, was questioned by security and law enforcement agencies. He was charged for violating the no-fly zone, reported Dawn Tuesday.
An army unit deployed at Margalla foothills noticed a man paragliding in the Red Zone, a no-fly zone. He was taken into custody as soon as he landed.
The army handed over the diplomat and two men – an instructor and his helper – to the police.
After registering the case, the diplomat was allowed to go as he enjoyed diplomatic immunity but the instructor and his helper were put behind bars.
