New Delhi: The Congress Wednesday said revelations by David Headley in an American court about Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) links to the 26/11 Mumbai carnage will be followed up by the Indian government to prosecute the guilty.
“Once the full details of the revelations by Headley are available with the government, I am certain action will be taken to prosecute the perpetrators of the 26/11 attack,” Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan told reporters here.
Headley is a prosecution witness in the trial going on in Chicage. He has revealed how he was recruited by a member of the ISI to take part in the Mumbai plot and has provided a rare glimpse into what he claims were the inner workings of the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
The attack in Mumbai killed 166 people, including foreigners.
“I do not know the full details of what Headley has told the Chicago court,” Natarajan said.
“But once the government gets the details, I am certain action will be taken,” she added.
