IPS officer calls Mayawati government corrupt

By IANS,

Lucknow : Unmindful of the consequences, a serving officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) Friday blasted the Mayawati government, calling it “thoroughly corrupt”.

D.D. Misra, currently posted as deputy inspector general in the Uttar Pradesh fire service, has two years to go before his retirement.

In an interview to IBN-7, Misra said: “The present government is thoroughly corrupt and has lost all credibility.”

He also claimed to have made some of his anti-government observations on official files, which he declined to display before the camera.

According to him, most of the actions of the present government were in utter violation of all rules, norms and convention.

In a defiant mood, Misra appeared to be least bothered about the consequences he may have to face on account of the All India Service Conduct Rules which he was openly violating by attacking the government.

“I am ready to face the music for speaking out; Mahatma Gandhi and Anna Hazare are my idols,” he said.
