Hyderabad: Rashtra Vidya Chaitanya Uthsavalu-2011 an educational campaign was launched by the chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the eve of 123rd birth anniversary of Mulana Abul Kalam Azad. Kick-starting the year long celebrations on the unique day of 11-11-11 organized by Rajiv Vidya mission, the chief minister emphasized that knowledge is power thus parents should make sure that every child should go to school.
The CM said “education alone would make your future bright and secure, and that student life is the best phase in one’s life”. This programe was launched at the birth anniversary of Mulana Azad to pay tribute to the first education minister of the country.
The CM garlanded the portrait of Mulana Abul Kalam Azad and said that Mulana Azad was the education minister with vision, who brought the reforms in the education, to fulfill the dreams of great visionaries like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad one should see that every child goes to school and parents should understand that there is no other alternative other than educating their children.
The Chief Minister recalled that the state government had launched many initiatives in the education sector, particularly in the rural areas. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s message was read out on the occasion. Reddy released posters, pamphlets, CDs on the One Year’s programme on “Rashtra Vidya Chaitanya Uthsavalu”.
As part of the educational awareness campaign launch several rallies is going to be taken out apart from the meetings at state, district, mandal, and school levels. Programs will be held through out the year.
