Jaipur: Hundred meritorious minority students who secured high ranks in Rajasthan matric exam this year were awarded by Delhi-based NGO Human Welfare Foundation at a program held at New Pink City Hotel here on 12th November. The top ten of 100 included four Muslim girls.
The top 10 awardees were Aquib Jawed (96.67%), Shadab Khan (94.67%), Shehla Akhlaque (93.1%), Tuba Alam (93.1%), Jameel Ahmed (92.83%), Mohd. Pervez (93.83%), Marjeena Rangrez (92.67%), Gauhar Hayat (92.33%), Tabassum Khan (91.2%) and Shibli Beg (91.2%).
Addressing the award ceremony, Ameer (president) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maulana Jalaluddin Umri said: “Our education system produces money minting machine but not a good human being. The education which is devoid of morality is harmful for the society and country.”
Among the dignitaries who addressed the gathering were National General Secretary of Jamaat Nusrat Ali, National Secretary Er. Mohd Saleem, Rajasthan Jamaat president Er Khurshid Hussain, Rajasthan Technical University VC Dr RP Yadav, Vice president of England’s Conservative Party Azmat Hussain and Former chairman of Rajasthan Minority Commission Jasbir Singh.
