CBI asks about sacked Rajasthan minister’s health

By IANS,

Jaipur: A report on the health condition of sacked Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna who is alleged to be linked to missing nurse Bhanwari Devi was given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the hospital authorities here Wednesday, sources said.

Maderna who has also been suspended from the Congress over allegations that he was involved in the disappearance of nurse Bhanwari Devi was admitted to the Mathura Das Mathur Hospital Saturday midnight after he complained of chest pain.

“The CBI had requested the hospital to constitute a medical board and submit a report on the Maderna’s health condition. The board comprising of three doctors including a cardiologist submitted the health report, however the details of the report were not disclosed,” a doctor at the hospital told IANS.

“It seems the CBI wanted to know, how is he really and is he in a condition to be shifted to Delhi,” doctor said.

The family members of Maderna couple of days back had expressed their desire to shift him to some hospital in Delhi.

Maderna had been summoned for questioning by the CBI in connection with the kidnapping case Sunday, but he was hospitalized by his family members.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had met Maderna at the hospital Tuesday and spoke with him about his health. Maderna reportedly features in a CD in a compromising position with the nurse who is missing.
