Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) has won the Environmental Protection Award at the International Bulk Journal Awards 2011 in Antwerp, Belgium.
ADPC was commended for its investment in the construction of a $240 million breakwater surrounding its flagship Khalifa Port to protect the Ras Ghanada coral reef, the largest and most diverse coral community in the Arabian Gulf. The event was held last week.
