Pune : Bangladesh’s Army chief, Gen. Mohammed Abdul Mubeen, will review the passing out parade of the 121st course of the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) here Nov 29, a defence official said Monday.
Mubeen is only the third foreign dignitary to be review the parade. The last was Gen. Pyar Jung Thapa, the chief of the then Royal Nepal Army, in November 2004.
A total of 318 cadets including 16 foreign cadets (one from Bhutan, 10 from Afghanistan, one from Tajikistan and four from Maldives ) of the 121st course will pass out, after successfully completed their training, said a NDA spokesman.
These include 215 of the army (including the foreign cadets), 41 from the navy and 62 of the air force.
The passing out parade is preceded by a host of functions including the NDA Ball which took place Saturday, an Expo on Nov 26, and the convocation ceremony and tattoo show on Nov 28.
