Washington : The US will outline new sanctions on Iran to increase pressure over its nuclear programme, the State Department said Monday.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will unveil the new steps, Xinhua reported.
Canada is expected to follow suit in a coordinated move.
In its Nov 8 report, the International Atomic Energy Agency outlined alleged activities pointing to clandestine nuclear bombs making by Iran, prompting the US and some European nations to mull expanded sanctions on the Islamic republic.
