Mumbai: In a unique gathering NGOs came together on Saturday in Azad Maidan to commemorate the victims of 26/11 attack and also to remind that it was on 26/11/ 1952 Dr. Ambedkar presented the constitution of India in 1952 in the Parliament.
In the programme ‘Save the Constitution Save the Nation’- Nazar Mohammed Madu, president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind reminded, “WE got the Political sovereignty but will attain Social justice through this Constitution.” He paid tributes to Hemant Karkare the Ex Anti Terrorist Chief of Maharashtra who was killed during the 26/11 attack. He said, “There are so many questions still unanswered regarding that brutal attack by which we lost an honest soul Hemant Karkare who was successful in exposing the saffron terror.”

He made a comparison of the history of 6th December and said, “On 6th December 1956 Dr. Ambedkar died under suspicious circumstances and it was on the very same date Babri Masjid was demolished, by the one’s who killed the father of the nation.”

Brigadier Sudhir Sawant, President of Swarajya Party said, “Even after more than 60 years of our independence, it is sad that still 83% of the population is deprived of the basic life amenities and only 17% has hold over the resources of the nation.”
They demanded that there should be efforts to make a law on right to own a home, just like the right to education and Right to Information acts by the government. Brigadier Sawant demanded, “Everyone must be provided with a 500 sq. ft home.” Aslam Gazi, Jyoti Bedekar, Kishor Jagtap, Pradeep Dhoble had their talks on the occasion.
