Lucknow: Maulana Kalbe Jawwad, the Imam-e-Juma of Lucknow has been hospitalized in Bangalore on Thursday. Maulana Jawwad was in the Karnataka capital for addressing a majlis in the house of one Agha Sultan since October 1.
On Tuesday he complained of uneasiness and chest pain. He was shifted to Narayan Rudralaya Hospital. His personal secretary Mohd Aslam at Lucknow informed newsmen that the cleric is being attended by Dr Devi Shetty and Dr Sanjay Mehrotra and his condition is stable. His supporters in Lucknow offered prayers and namaz for his speedy recovery. Maulana Jawwad is also a member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB).
