Islamabad : As much as 180 tonnes of illegally imported steel has been seized in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) detected a scandal of unauthorised import of galvanised steel sheets by a Gujranwala-based defunct factory.
They seized eight containers with 180 tonnes of the steel, reported Dawn.
The value of the illegally imported steel has been estimated at Rs.20 million, an official said.
