New Delhi : Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal Monday left here to attend the first India-US Higher Education Summit in Washington Oct 13, said a statement.
The summit, jointly hosted by India and the US, will be attended by higher education leaders, government officials and private sector leaders from both countries.
The objective of the summit is to further strengthen higher education collaboration and exchanges between institutions in the US and India through exploration of topics of mutual interest such as joint degrees, research partnerships, accreditation and quality assurance.
Around 100,000 Indian students are currently said to be studying in the US, of whom over 70 percent are enrolled in graduate studies.
