New Delhi : In tune with the concept of free metro newspapers, popular in many major metropolises across the world, India’s first free daily was launched in Delhi Wednesday.
An initiative by two young entrepreneurs, Ankit Dhawan and Virat Mohan, the daily ‘Delhi On The Go’ will be made available for free. According to the founders, it has been designed to be a comprehensive and fast reading experience for the urban audience.
“We perceive ‘Delhi On The Go’ as a community building concept,” co-founder Virat Mohan said after the daily was launched.
“The concept of free metro newspapers is successful in major international metropolitan cities… we thought the time is ripe for a concept like this to work in India as well,” he added.
