Pakistani minister took 10.12 decisions per meeting

Islamabad : It perhaps can’t get more precise than this. A Pakistani minister took exactly 10.12 decision per meeting while his predecessor took 8.96 decisions per meeting.

Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in his capacity as the chairman of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet Thursday reviewed the performance and rate of implementation of the decisions taken by the body under the present government, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

Nargis Sethi, a senior official, said the committee has so far held 65 meetings and taken 621 decisions with an average of 9.55 decisions per meeting.

The exercise follows Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani directing all ministries to review their performance.

During the tenure of Shaukat Tarin as finance minister, from Dec 2, 2008 to March 8, 2010, the committee held 27 meetings and took 242 decisions with an average of 8.96 decisions per meeting.

Shaikh, from March 19, 2010 to Sep 30, 2011, chaired 25 meetings and took 253 decisions with an average of 10.12 decisions per meeting.
