Mumbai Sunni Ijtema ends on mass prayer

Mumbai: The three-day Annual Sunni Dawate Islami Ijtema ended Sunday evening with a mass prayer here at Azad Maidan which was christened as Wadi-e-Noor for the program period. Tens of thousands of people attended the last day of the congregation which had begun on 21st Oct with exclusive programs for women.
The people prayed for peace and prosperity of whole humanity. The Ijtema sent the message of Peace and Communal Harmony and vowed to instill greater humanitarian values in the people.

Important topics covered on the 3rd day of the Ijtema were: Path of Success for Muslims; Islamic Solution for achieving balance in a troubled world; and Islamic Solution for Eradication of Global Poverty and Hunger.

At a Q&A session on a second day program, Mufti Nizamuddin Misbahi (Chief Mufti – Islamic University Al-Jamiatul Ashrafiya) touched various issues like corruption and Islam and blood donation in Islam.
