UAE, Australia discuss trade relations

Dubai : The United Arab Emirates and Australia have discussed trade relations, with the latter saying it would like to cooperate in various fields, particularly in the car industry, while looking upon the UAE as a strategic gateway to the Middle East.

During a meeting, UAE Minister for Economy Sultan Al Mansoori discussed ways to strengthen cooperation frameworks in automotive products industry with Bracks Steve, Australia’s envoy for the automotive industry and a former governor of Victoria.

During the meeting the UAE minister briefed the Australian delegation on UAE’s strength as a major re-export to most countries of the world pointing to the possibility of re-exporting Australian products related to automobile sector.
