Bareilly: All was quiet in town for the third day. Heavy police deployment and no relaxation in curfew forced people to stay indoors.
Niru Patel, president of the Zila Panchayat was arrested along with her husband and driver or violating curfew orders.
There was no relaxation in curfew on Monday but exemption was made for the Ganga Maharani procession but under heavy security presence.
Police and PAC personnel were visible in Baradari, Kotwali, Premanagar, and Quila areas of Bareilly. Search operation was conducted in Jagatpur and Kalibarhi to nab the rioters.
