Raipur : A health official in Chhattisgarh was found to have amassed assets worth Rs.11 crore, which was disproportionate to his known sources of income, a senior Anti-corruption Bureau ACB) official said here Wednesday.
“We carried out raids at the properties of chief medical officer of Janjgir-Champa district Ramlal Dhritlahre in Bilaspur, Korba and Janjgir districts and found that he had amassed assets worth about Rs.11 crore,” said D. M. Awasthi, additional director general and chief of the ACB.
“Dhritlahre joined government job in 1980 as an assistant surgeon and created the assets disproportionate to his known sources of income,” Awasthi added.
The bureau is still calculating the exact value of his assets, Awasthi said.
