Moscow: A man in Russia broke a metal cage in the courtroom just when he was being sentenced for hooliganism.
The man had been put into the cage after he flew into a fit of rage in the courtroom, verbally abusing the magistrate and his subordinates, according to Nizhny Novgorod Region bailiffs.
Once inside, the man started swinging on the bars, mimicking a monkey, the bailiffs said Wednesday on their website. Soon the wall eventually gave way.
Court bailiffs detained the man and handed him over to police.
He now faces up to two years of correctional labour and a fine of 200,000 rubles ($6,500).
