New Delhi: A misty, chilly morning was followed by a clear, sunny day in the capital Saturday with the maximum temperature settling at 21.7 degrees, average for this time of the year. The met office has forecast cold and foggy days ahead.
“There would be a fog cover till forenoon and even the cold would increase considerably from Sunday onwards,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 21 and 5 degrees Celsius, added the official.
Saturday’s minimum temperature settled two notch below average at 6.2 degrees Celsius.
“There will be light mist tomorrow (Saturday) morning… the day would be sunny and pleasant,” said the IMD official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday are expected to hover around 22 and 7 degrees Celsius, added the official.
The maximum and minimum humidity was recorded at 88 and 40 percent.
Friday’s maximum temperature was 22.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the year, while the minimum was a notch below the season’s average at 7.6 degrees Celsius.
