Wipro selects 20 AMU students

Aligarh: Twenty students of B. Sc. final year from the Computer Science Department of the Aligarh Muslim University have been selected by Wipro Technologies, Noida through the campus selection process.

Dr. Mohammad Ubaidullah Bokhari, Chairman, Department of Computer Science said that a team of Wipro Technologies visited the Department of Computer Science as part of its Wipro Academy of Software Excellence (WASE) programme. He said that the result was an outcome of the diligent and continuous efforts of Mr. Irshad Ahmad Khan and Mr. Javed Wasim, Incharge of Training and Placement Cell of the department.

Dr. Bukhari said that the placement process included two stages of recruitment, a presentation on WASE Program followed by students’ interview held at the Conference Hall, Department of Physics and a written test conducted by the technical team from Wipro. Thirty-two students got through the test out of sixty-nine students who appeared for the test and twenty students were declared selected after the final interview.
