New Delhi : The Israeli diplomat’s wife, who was injured in a terror attack here two days ago, is stable and recovering, doctors at a private hospital in south Delhi said Wednesday.
“She is alert, conscious and comfortable. Wounds are healing and there is no sign of infection even after the liver injury,” N.D Khurana, medical superintendent at the Primus hospital, said.
“She is showing initial signs of recovery and is stable,” Khurana added.
Tal Yehoshua Koren, wife of the Israeli defence attache, suffered multiple injuries Monday when a motorcycle rider attached an explosive device on her car and sped away. The device exploded with a thunderous sound, setting the car on fire.
Three others injured along with Koren were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where they were given medical aid.
Doctors had earlier conducted an operation for a spine injury on Koren to remove shrapnel from her spine. The shrapnel had injured a nerve, causing weakness in her left leg, but doctors are monitoring her condition to avoid chances of any secondary infection.
“We want to make sure that there are no secondary infections. We will retain her for a couple of days before she completely recovers with a normal breathing pattern,” Khurana added.
