New Delhi: A 48-year-old former Indian Air Force (IAF) officer who was working with a private company was found stabbed to death here Sunday, police said.
Surender Kumar, a resident of Gurgaon, was found dead by a passerby around 9.30 a.m. near a tunnel in Swaroop Nagar area of north Delhi.
He had stab injuries on his neck and chest.
Kumar is survived by his wife and two children.
“He left the Air Force a few years ago and was working with a company Foilex Private Ltd. as its general manager in Himachal Pradesh,” a police officer said.
He visited Ambala in Haryana on official work Saturday evening, but never returned home.
Kumar’s brother, a sub inspector in Haryana Police, traced his mobile phone to Swaroop Nagar, after which the family called the police.
“Personal rivalry and robbery might be the cause of the murder,” the officer added.
