NATO containers in Pakistan leave for Afghanistan

By IANS,

Islamabad: NATO containers at the Karachi port will begin to leave Thursday for Afghanistan after a seven-month long blockade on their movement was lifted, a media report said.

Over 135 containers will leave for Afghanistan from Port Qasim Karachi Thursday, reported Geo News.

Islamabad blocked the NATO supply routes after two dozen Pakistani soldiers were killed in an air attack Nov 26 last year.

The NATO supply route was reopened after the federal cabinet endorsed the decision of the Defence Committee of the Cabinet for reopening it.
