Enough 26/11 evidence shared with Pakistan: India

By IANS,

New Delhi : Pakistan “must” punish perpetrators of the 26/11 attack as “enough evidence” had been shared with Islamabad, India said Wednesday, a day after a Rawalpindi court rejected the findings of a probe panel that visited Mumbai in March.

“We certainly presented all the fact to Pakistan… They must bring perpetrators to book… We feel that there is enough evidence… They should be taken in account and bring them (those involved) to book,” Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur told reporters here.

She was asked about a Pakistani court rejecting the findings of the judicial commission that visited India March 15 for investigations into the 2008 Mumbai terror attack.

Terming the probe report a waste of time on the grounds that its members were not allowed to cross-examine the witnesses, the court gave a reprieve to Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and six others who are currently in Pakistan’s Adiala jail.

The court ruling dealt a major setback to the prosecution of the seven terror suspects charged with involvement in Mumbai attacks.
