New Delhi: A mass communication student of Jamia Millia Islamia, Mr. Ahmed Kamal Saifi has won 1st Prize in an international photography competition. He has also been awarded the sum of US$ 2000 in prize.

“It is a matter of great pride and pleasure for Jamia Millia Islamia that Mr. Ahmed Kamal Saifi, a student of M.A. (Mass Communication) who has passed out from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia in the year 2012 has won the 1st Prize in an International Photography Competition hosted by the BuTinah Island Photography 2011-12,” said the university in a statement.
The Theme of the event was “Art of Conservation” in which Saifi’s photograph was deemed to be the winning entry. He was also awarded the sum of US $ 2000.
