Mumbai : State-run thermal power major NTPC Friday posted an increase of 20.4 percent at Rs.2,498.7 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs.2,075.8 crore during the same period in the last financial year.
National Thermal Power Corporation’s total income stood at Rs.16,845 crore during the quarter under review against Rs.15,168 crore during the period a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing.
During the quarter, NTPC added 2,160 MW of new capacity, achieving 52 percent of the target of 4,160 MW for the entire year.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company’s shares closed 0.99 percent at Rs.153.05.
