27 security firms banned in Pakistan

By IANS,

Islamabad : The government of Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Saturday cancelled the licences of 27 private security companies, officials said.

Officials from the provincial home department told Geo News the government imposed the ban on the companies as most of them do not have offices in the province while some were unregistered.

Some companies that provided security to UN missions were also unregistered.

The home department issued a notice to all districts directing them to seal the offices of the banned companies and take action against them.
