Guwahati : Four cadres of the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) led by Ranjan Daimary were arrested by security forces in lower Assam’s Baksa district Tuesday, police said.
They were identified as Anup Basumatary, Ranjan Basumatary, M. Sanchuma and B Gathao, police said, adding that three pistols, four magazines, three grenades and some documents were recovered from them.
A team of the army and sthe CRPF arrested the four cadres ona specific tip off. They were later handed over to the police.
Police suspect that the arrested cadres had entered the state to step up their extortion drive.
