New Delhi : Nearly 1,000 retired military personnel will be hired to guard monuments, Minister of Culture Kumari Selja said Wednesday.
In addition, personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force had been tasked to guard the Red Fort and the Taj Mahal, she said in parliament.
She said no site had been outsourced for conservation and the question of oursourcing the restoration of monuments “does not arise”.
