Jaipur : A two-year-old girl drowned Tuesday when she accidentally fell into a bucket of water at her house here, police said.
Tannu was playing inside her house in Bhatta Basti area when the mishap occurred.
According to police, some family member had left the fully-filled bucket near her. The toddler stood up taking its support and suddenly fell into it face down.
Her mother was in the kitchen, while the father, who is employed with the Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation, had left for work.
“The mother spotted the baby inside the bucket and raised an alarm. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead,” said a police officer.
