Kolkata : Power utility CESC Ltd, an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, Wednesday said it had entered into an agreement to take over two hydroelectric power projects with an aggregate capacity of 146 MW in Arunachal Pradesh.
Company sources said CESC had acquired the entire equity shares of Pachi Hydro Power Projects Ltd and Papu Hydro Power Projects Ltd, both belonging to the India Bulls Group.
Pachi Hydro is a special-purpose vehicle established to undertake the 56 MW Phangchung Hydro Electricity Project in Arunachal’s East Kameng district. The 90 MW Papu Hydro Electricity Power Project is also located in the same district.
The Kolkata-based company already has a 90 MW hydel-power project in Arunachal Pradesh.
