New batch of 96 officers join CRPF from Gurgaon academy

Gurgaon: A new batch of Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) assistant commandants comprising 92 men four women, completed their training course at the CRPF Academy here Saturday and were inducted into the force.

Minister of State for Home Affairs R.P.N. Singh presented the awards of excellence to the trainees at a function here.

The Sword of Honour and the Home Minister’s Cup for all round performance went to Rajesh Kumar Guddu.

Praising the role of CRPF in maintaining law and order in the country, the minister encouraged the young officials to perform their duties with “utmost sincerity, honesty and dedication”.

The CRPF Academy at Gurgaon has been imparting training to assistant commandant trainees since 2005. Earlier, their training was conducted at the Internal Security Academy of CRPF at Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The academy has so far trained 976 CRPF officers.
