Kolkata : Attacking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the CPI-M Tuesday alleged that she did not have the time to govern as she was busy attending scores of religious festivals.
“The chief minister does not have the time to govern. As home minister she has no time to look after law and order as she is busy attending religious festivals,” Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) secretary Biman Bose told reporters here.
“It is a dangerous situation. Daily our party members are being brutally attacked. Her (Banerjee) partymen are busy fighting among themselves violently.”
Bose alleged that the government’s condition was such that other than the chief minister, no other minister had the power to function independently. “But the chief minister has no time. Who will look after law and order then?”
