Bangalore : Leading Japanese communications test and measurement solutions maker Anritsu Corporation has set up its wholly-owned subsidiary in this tech hub to serve its growing customer base in the Indian sub-continent.
“As the new telecom policy will accelerate the industry growth, we foresee a 20 percent increase in our India business due to growing demand for our test and measurement equipment,” Anritsu vice-president Kenji Tanaka said in a statement here Wednesday.
The century-old company has been operating in India since the 1980s and had set up a branch office in 2007 to support local customers and expand the service support capabilities.
Driven by global and domestic demand, the Indian test and measurement market has been steadily growing due to increasing integration of Internet connectivity, wireless communications spanning 3G, 4G, WiFi, bluetooth, high-fidelity audio and high definition video in consumer electronics devices, requiring new testing solutions.
“We believe in high-potential growth of the Indian market and are keen to expand our global sales to synchronise their growth by providing the best test and measurement solutions, based on our 100 plus years of innovations,” Kenji said.
With presence across 90 countries worldwide, Anritsu offers testing equipment for wireless, optical, microwave/RF (radio frequency) and digital instruments and provides operations support systems for manufacturing, installation and maintenance.
