New Delhi: It was a chilly, sunny morning in the capital Friday, a day after parts of the city witnessed light rain. The Met office has forecast a clear day Friday.
“The maximum temperature would hover around 24 degrees Celsius and there is no possibility of rain,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Fridays’ minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 10.9 degrees Celsius and the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 95 percent.
Delhi witnessed scattered rainfall and an overcast sky Thursday with the city receiving a total of 0.8 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. Thursday to 8.30 a.m. Friday, adding to the chill.
The rains were caused by a western disturbance that lay over north Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.
Thursdays’ maximum temperature settled at 28.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above average, and the minimum was 9.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of year.
