Pune : Pune Football Club Tuesday completed the signing of Khanthang Paite on a season-long loan from Kingfisher East Bengal.
The 26-year-old midfielder completed formalities at the club Saturday and signed a deal that will see him spend the 2012-13 campaign with the Pune FC until May 31 next year.
Paite said: “It makes me proud to have joined such a big club like Pune FC.”
Paite becomes Derrick Pereira’s first on-loan signing for the season.
The coach said: “He has lot of experience and we are fortunate to have him marshal the left-wing. We were looking for an out-and-out left-footed winger for the season and Paite fits the bill.”
