Three Indians to study school sports in Britain

Thiruvananthapuram: G. Kishore, principal of the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) here, is one of the three Indians who will be attending the Youth Sport Trust (YST) School Conference in Loughborough Oct 14-18.

The other two are R.D. Chauhan, director (Sports and PYKKA) Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and G.D.Ghai, director, Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education (LNUPE), Gwalior.

The Indian team will analyse the recent developments in school sports in Britain, including the government’s flagship school sports strategy.

The delegation will also study the status of 10 years of Physical Education and Sports policy in schools and visit the Sport Park in Loughborough which houses the offices of over 20 leading sporting organisations in Britain.
