Hyderabad: The British Deputy High Commissioner, Richard Hyde celebrated the Muslim Aid day at the Employees State Insurance (ESI) Hospital in the city by distributing fruits to over 400 patients.
Muslim Aid is British NGO, working in over 70 countries and has been working for over two decades to help save and improve the lives of millions in the world’s poorest countries, with a single motto of ‘Serving Humanity.’ In India it is involved for many years in various projects including disaster relief.

“I know that Muslim Aid works to help the needy irrespective of religion and race. I am very proud to be here in support of this British NGO and we are very supportive of their efforts to do much more this region” Hyde said on the occasion.
Muslim Aid’s Evaluator for India projects, Mirza Feroz Baig said, “The objective of Muslim Aid Day is to focus every year on one specific aspect of Muslim Aid’s work to raise awareness about itsefforts amongst our stakeholders, beneficiaries, media and the general public.”
He added that they are celebrating this day to raise awareness about health and that is the main reason to have a free health camp and fruit distribution at the hospital.
