Three teenagers drown in Maharashtra dam

Nashik (Maharashtra) : Three teenagers drowned Tuesday when they went for a swim in the Gangapur dam in this Maharashtra district, police said here.

“These boys had gone to the dam along with friends. They went into the waters for a swim while others decided against it. According to their friends, the three suddenly started drowning and could not swim back to land,” an official from Nashik’s Taluka Police Station told IANS.

Their bodies were fished out from the dam waters. The initial post-mortem reports have confirmed that the boys died due to drowning.

They have been identified as Ritesh Shukla, Ganesh Roham and Amit Singh, all 17 years old.
