Aligarh: Dr. Abdul Malik, Associate Professor and Former Chairman, Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded with the prestigious DBT CREST award by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to visit Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg for a period of 12 months.
During visit, Dr. Malik will work on green fluorescent protein based plasmid transfer in soil and present talks at the University of Freiburg, which is one of the most prestigious universities in Europe.
Dr. Malik has recently visited Department of Food Engineering, University of Cukorova, Adana, Turkey under the Scientist Exchange programme of Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) where he worked on Microencapsulation of Lactic acid bacteria.
Dr. Malik teaches at the Department of Agricultural Microbiology of the Aligarh Muslim University and is a recipient of DAAD fellowship (Germany), Overseas BOYSCAST fellowship of Ministry of Science Technology, Government of India and Young Scientist project of DST twice in his career. He has published a number of research papers in leading scientific journals of the world with high impact factor.
Dr. Malik, as an Indian Project Leader has successfully completed joint International Collaborative research project with Technical University Berlin, Germany under DST-DAAD (Germany) academic exchange programme.
