Kejriwal gets permission for Farrukhabad rally

Lucknow: The district administration of Farukkhabad, the parliamentary constituency of Law Minister Salmam Khurshid, Saturday gave India Against Corruption (IAC) permission to hold a rally there.

IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal has announced that he would hold a rally against Khurshid and protest against the alleged irregularities in the minister’s NGO, Zakir Hussain Trust.

The district administration had earlier denied permission to IAC to hold a rally.

The Nov 1 rally will be held at Farukkhabad’s Aavas Vikas grounds.

Earlier, angry at being denied permission to hold a rally, IAC activists had demonstrated outside the residence of the city magistrate.

Kejriwal has threatened to further expose Khurshid for alleged irregularities in distribution of equipment to the disabled. Kejriwal had also alleged that fake camps were held to distribute these equipments and documents were forged to get further financial aid from the central government.
