Kochi: Renowned companies like Rolls Royce, BMT and Balfour Beatty will be part of the British delegation that will make presentations at the three-day Emerging Kerala (EK) investor meet to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here Wednesday.

British High Commissioner James Bevan will be leading the country’s largest business delegation to Kerala.

Representatives of Rolls Royce, a world leader in energy systems for land, air and sea, and Balfour Beatty, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure firms with a record in rail and metro systems and highways, will be amongst those making presentations Wednesday, said a statement from the British High Commission.

Mike Nithavrianakis, British deputy high commissioner in Chennai, said the UK session addresses sectors where the Kerala government has invited expertise and technology.

“UK firms in our delegation represent an exciting range. We invite the Indian public and private sector to hear what these UK firms have to offer Emerging Kerala and India,” said Nithavrianakis.
